Finally I have Rejected HCL TalentCare

If you get a chance to join HCL, what will you do ? Of course anyone will join because  HCL is such an renowned company and also one of the top IT companies in India. So with this thought I did registration for the Pooled Campus drive by HCL in Mumbai on 18th of this month.


Since it was Pooled Campus drive more students were expected, with this curiosity I checked the attendance list and I found total 470 registration. When all people gathered in the seminar hall there HCL people arrived and  the session for that day started. First of all they informed us that you all have came here for HCL TalentCare and not HCL. They explained about the company and told total 3 rounds are there to join HCL TalentCare. They also said one statement like this which I have never heard from any company.

You will receive your Offer Letter today itself once you clear all the rounds.

After presentation, we all gave online aptitude test for the first round. The result came out early and I cleared the aptitude test. Total 40 student cleared the test and I was one of them. The next round was Spoken English Test. I cleared that round also and we were waiting for the result in Seminar hall. We all were surprised when they told you all have been selected and the final round was Counseling round.


Counseling round means face to face discussion about the further process and they explained everything on Plain Paper. I was shocked when they asked to pay Rs. 30,000 for Offer Letter and that also on 21st Nov 2015 itself. This was the reason why I was confused after getting selected in HCL TalentCare. I was neither happy nor sad after this selection. Later they told that first you will receive one Welcome Email from our side and you need to reply for confirmation.

In case if you are looking for financial assistance, we would like to inform you that we have partnered with AXIS Bank, on student loans and you can avail education loan upto maximum 80% of the course fee (i.e. INR 1,20,000).   If you wish to apply for Education Loan, the HCL TalentCare team will extend support on your loan processing, provided you fulfil the requirements of AXIS Bank (the Funding Organization).   Please send your acceptance within the next 24 hours.  Upon hearing from you, we would arrange for an AXIS Bank Manager from your nearest location to contact you to help you on the loan process.
Although I had sent confirmation email to them, but still I was not sure whether to join this company or not ? So on 20th Nov I had serious conversation with my parents and family members about that selection. After that conversation, finally I took decision to reject HCL TalentCare.

Why I have rejected HCL TalentCare ?

The following are the reasons :

  • Payment of Rs. 30,000 to get Offer Letter from HCL TalentCare.

  • Received Welcome Email  in Spam folder and no details about Persistent in that email.

  • HCL says "Do not pay money any individual/agency for an offer/interview".

  • Total expense including Program fee + Service tax (14%) + Hostel charges  was more than 2 lakhs (1,50,000+ 21,000+ 35,000) just for 3 months training.

  • No stipend/salary will be given during 3 months of training period.

     

    Conclusion:-

    This was just my personal experience about HCL TalentCare and I suggest everyone, specially freshers to be aware of such company. This experience may help you to find out the review of HCL TalentCare.

      Let me clear... I didn't took time for deciding whether to sit for aptitude test or not ..... I took time for deciding that should I join this company or not ?... But afterwards my confusion gone and finally I decided not to join HCL TalentCare.
