Lockdown started from March month so as per government guidelines there is restrictions for doing outdoor fitness activities due to COVID- 19 pandemic. Gradually things are coming back to track and now for we are allowed for running, walking, cycling & for doing other workout activities outside our homes. I started outdoor running from June month, participated in Run to the Moon Challenge as a starter and now doing 100 days of Running Challenge at present.
Initially my pace was not the same as it was before lockdown but now with consistent practice & regular workouts coming back to my actual pace. Now a days all the marathon events have gone virtual to prevent the spread of Corona Virus. I came to know about Hexaware Dream Runners Marathon through my office For Sports initiative. I had registered for this Virtual Marathon, selected 10 Km run & started practicing for the same.
I made my mind & decided to run under 5 min / Km pace throughout. Got up early in the morning on 23-09-2020, did proper oiling at home as I run barefoot. Moved out of home did stretching and started my virtual marathon. Thankfully weather was cool & it helped me to finish 10 Km in 48.01 minutes. So this way I ran my fastest 10 K post lockdown however my best timing is 47.07.
